AKA: Equinox Treowen
Location: Treowen House, Monmouth
Classification: Archive
Total Number of Staff: 5
Also known as: “The Equinox House“
The first site built expressly for the use of the School of Night. Still in operation today, the site is manned by a small cell of five individuals who tend to some of the organisation’s oldest paranatural objects.
It is also rumoured to house the “Obsidian Archive” – a collection of paranatural phenomena thought to be so dangerous that so much as knowing the contents is considered to be a danger to all civilisation.
Major Historical Events
The construction of Treowen House was arranged by King James I in 1616 in an attempt to secure the loyalty of the remaining members of the School of Night in the wake of his execution of Sir Walter Raleigh. The intention was that the house would serve as a base of operation for the group and as a place to store the organisation’s growing number of artefacts and documentation. Design of the house was overseen by Harriot who passed away shortly after its completion in July 1621. Rumours persist that his ghost still haunts the house he helped built though research into this purported paranatural event has yielded no meaningful results that suggest this being the case.
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Equinox 3 is a Game-Team Controlled Cell. While player characters may not currently work for this cell, it is possible that that they may have requested vital historic research from Equinox Treowen and have had contact with one of the five staff currently working there. Unlike Equinox 1 or 2, it is highly unlikely that any player character has ever visited Equinox 3 in person and suggestions of this being the case in character’s backstories will be rejected.
