Aka: Equinox Oxford

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire
Classification: Sanctuary
Total Number of Staff: 2
Also known as: “The Pastorate”
Equinox 18 is a Sanctuary-class Cell specialising in providing investigative support and aftercare to individuals following a paranatural event.
Based out of a ramshackle house in the centre of Oxford, whose architecture dates back to the early seventeenth century, Equinox-18 has provided counselling and therapy to hundreds of Equinox agents and members of the public since its original formation. The home not only acts as the living quarters for the Cell but also provides accommodation for individuals in need of long-term care and support. Due to the limited size of its base, the Cell is only able to accommodate one or two individuals at a time and places are often heavily sought after by other Cells within the wider Institute.
As the Cell’s area of expertise has expanded so to has the extent of its facilities and since the early 2000s, the group has had the benefit of regular access to Oxford University’s extensive libraries, research facilities and conference rooms where it has need of them.
Despite the idiosyncratic nature of its recovery programme, Equinox 18 has almost universal support from the Court and is very rarely audited due to the invaluable nature of its work and the dedication of its members towards the cause.
Major Historical Events
Equinox-Oxford is one of the Institute’s oldest Cells, having been originally founded in 1921 in the wake of the First World War. Since its formation, the Cell has varied in size and organisational structure but has always been led by a member of the priesthood of the Catholic Church.
